Experience Based Consultation
I am passionate about HR Management – a profession I have pursued for many years. Human Resources is not just about people but creates a link between a company’s economic success and its employees. This implies the equal importance of both operative tasks as well as strategic targets – a critical success factor in today’s management approaches.
Many challenges companies encounter lie within the interpersonal arena. In particular if a company seeks to operate overseas or has intercultural teams that work together. Geographic distances between employees, such as virtual teams, are becoming more common. The distance between work locations can create problems as well as intercultural differences which in turn can cause misunderstandings and inefficiencies.
Talent selection, development and promotions can equally pose challenges. An error can carry a high cost as well as a significant degree of frustration and dissatisfaction between employees and management. Individuals may be unaware of their skills and talents or not know, how to best utilize them. This results in poor performance with a potentially high level of dissatisfaction.
I have studied these topics for many years including how to best mitigate potential problems and how to best place, engage and lead employees here in Switzerland as well as internationally. My experience spans over 25 years including building HR platforms from the ground up, engaging in startup operations, and holding significant positions within multinational corporations. Furthermore, I have worked in industries and enterprises as diverse as Aviation, Engineering, Oil & Gas, NGO, Facility Maintenance, Tourism and the Agri-Business.
My education is equally broad and ranges from a Master of Business Administration - Heriot Watt University – Edinburgh – UK; a Master of NLP – The New York Training Institute for NLP – USA; a Diploma Training & Talent Coach – IK – Switzerland and a CAS – African Affairs & Intercultural Competence – University of Basel – Switzerland.
From an international perspective I have both lived and worked in four different countries and can draw from my broad work experiences from Europe, North America and Africa.
The presentations and work-shops I offer are based on my vast work and personal experiences and include topics from leadership, management and human resources either with a local or international flavor. I enjoy sharing my knowledge in order to inspire you and engage you while discussing these interesting topics.
